Just wondering what LSU opposing player do/did you dislike/dislike the most that you also respect/respected the most?

"Sherman, set the Wayback Machine to the early 80's": John Bond and his stupid shag/mullet haircut. No quarterback regualrly killed us like this guy. And he was a good guy off the field. Arrggghhh...

  2. I dont know about respected but the overhyped, high-motor David Pollack was my dislikee from last year. Man that got old.

This years respected player is probably Chris Leak.

I would go with the 1992 Alabama Nat. Championship squad, both defensive ends, Curry and Copeland (I think, someone will correct me if I'm wrong). I think both made All American, both drafted in the NFL as high picks. They seemed to be coming hard all the time, and they got more than their fair share of sacks and CBL's.

They won a title with a pretty average QB (Jay Barker?). They had an outstanding defense, one of the best college defenses I have seen, certainly would make a top 20 list of college defensive squads.

Gene Stallings seemed like a solid citizen as head coach.

This is a respect post, I only disliked them because they beat LSU.

They earned what they got fair and square. Curry and Copeland dominated games week in and week out!

Reggie Reginelli, Roch Hontas ... with names like that could they have played for any school other than Tulane? Anyone who ever pulled on an olive green and sky blue uniform is forever "damaged goods," as far as I'm concerned - but those two guys were very good players and were on Tulane teams that beat LSU in '81 and '82.

I later played some softball games against Hontas and he seemed like a decent guy.

I'll also agree on David Pollock. Not that it was his fault, but I wanted to vomit every time I head about that "motor" of his that "never stops running." Ecch!

Same vein as houtiger's...complete respect, almost enough to like the guy -- Shaun Alexander.

roch did one of my knee surgeries when i was in 8th grade. even though he's affiliated with tulame, i like him.

ok players/people i've hated in no particular order:
    UF bball-dwayne schintzius (sp?),
whoever that jackhole was for bama baseball and they kept showing his dad over and over again during the cws,
patrick nix (and his kkk accent) on espn before the bring back the magic game "i'm not afraid of white jerseys..., i've never lost as a starter."
    Tommy f'n Tuberville
    Steve mf'n spurrier
scott droud- some curly headed basketball player for vandy, for some reason the site of him instilled hate
    dennis franchione
speaking of- anyone at texas a&m
the nebraska cornhuskers in the 80's
    rick pitino
eli manning (for some reason i like peyton though)
chris dimarco (cuz he went to florida)
bob stoops (he's a freakin baby)
    pete carroll's whiny ass
    david pollack
throw in david greene and mark richt while we're at it

ok, i need to go to my happy place now.

Going into this football season Chris Leak is probably high on the repected list.

Can't say who I dislike at this time because the hype hasn't really started.

    Dislike...

Humm... in the past: I agree: Pollack and Eli Manning:

The thing I disliked about Manning is that when you wated :eek:lefire:, you knew that you would see Archie Manning more than the game.

Let's see: I hated Danny Weurffel: I hated Kellen Winslow and Jeremy Shockey...

Ditto for Reggie Bush, b/c everytime he touches the ball, the announcer says soemthing along the line of "WOW THEY ARE LUCKY HE DIDNT BREAK THAT ONE."

Umm? of course there is Carroll as well...
