MSU's pass defense is ranked 4th in the nation.

I love the fact that Lee will be tested before we head on to Gainesville.

I agree; the tough test started with the Auburn game, and continues........

You can't ask for anything better to help develope and build confidence for the QB.:thumb:

I think State has a good defense despite what happened against the yellow jackets. After we win tonight Lee will have two weeks to get ready for Florida.

I give him a "C" at worst....a "B-" at best. Did well (18 of 27 for 261 with a TD and the INT).

But on the Freshman QB that he is, I give him an "A". ;)

He did very well, the INT was not a horrible throw...on target, slightly high and just a little too quick for Dickson to adjust to. Had it been thrown .5 second later Dickson would have had time to get his hands up...however an INT is an INT. I also count the LaFell fumble as a passing TD, so he had a high completion %, good yards, 2 TDs and spread the ball around to many different guys.

He also completed many different passes on different routes and did good recognizing where the ball needed to go. He had a fumble forced on him, not an uncommon play but you'd of course like to see that ball out of there sooner as he's not a scrambler.

    Two TDs.

I give him the B-. He threw a couple of scary passes that he got lucky with, and he had some big help from a receiving corps that seems fairly sticky-fingered this season.

But like you said. B- is a good grade for a RS Freshman with all of 4 games under his belt.

I'm thinking Hatch witnessed his playing time go south tonight. The more Lee plays, the better he gets. I'm wondering if maybe the coaches are considering limiting Hatch's play from here on.

He was never going to play tonight due to the concussion, his time will probably flip flop with Lee - he'll get as many snaps as Lee got in the first two games. At the very least he'll run the "RP" plays from last year.

I see Hatch assuming the role of R.P. from '07.

    I give Lee a grade of B.

This is a very capable pass defense and Lee carved it up tonight for the most part.

The pass to Dickson for the interception was horrible from what I saw. Not sure what Philter witnessed. Will have to watch that one on replay.

If I had to guess this was a 150+ point passing efficiency rating performance tonight. That's above his approximate 130 point average up until now.
