    if anyone cares.

    5 plays

duke-2 over e carolina--skip holtz demoted from OC at SC by his father gets a hc job? ecu was horrid last year under 1 day LSU DC john thompson. duke was pretty solid last year all things considered. duke wins by double digits.

taking NC state +6 to upset Va Tech outright. too much hype for vick and beamer while chuck amato goes overlooked. NC st has one of the better defensive teams returning this year and i love defense. I just hope beamer's special teams dont kill me. they usually do. if i lose on a kick or punt return I will sodomize clairice.

bowling green +3 to upset wisconsin outright. the fat man is retiring and BG will score some pernts. omar jacobs is one of the best qbs u never heard of. 41-4 td/int ratio and over 4000 yards. how sick is that. falcons win in cheeseland. anthony davis no longer plays for the badgers.

iowa -38 over ball st--the cardinals suck. also, they just had 13 players suspended tonight i see due to a rentabook scandal. so backups for a suckie team mean easy win for ferentz who runs it up at home. how long kirk stays with the starters may determine this cover but he loves to win big for the boosters. Iowa by 50.

TCU +27 against Stoops--this aint the same OU team we've learned to love and stomp in a NC game. this is LSU 2004 with less weapons and fewer big uglies (see saints jamaal brown who i touted before they got him) plus when a team has a qb named tye gunn you can't go wrong. this guy is pretty damned good. TCU makes this one interesting for a half or so and hangs on for the cover.

    2 leans:

A&M -1 over Clemson--remember everyone here crying how bad a coach dennis francione was 2 years ago after leaving the gumps and getting drilled by the sooners? i told u hes a good coach and knows what hes doing. still does. bowden aint so bad either. McNeal is as entertaining as it gets but both these teams have stellar defenses. theres a new OC for CLemson which should help...forgot his name but hes from Toledo where they lit it up. so look for Whitehurst the soph clemson QB to be much more effective in this system but i think it may take time. McNeal's legs, i hope, are the difference in a shootout even with 2 very good defensive teams. could be in the 30's for each. i'll say 30-26 aggies.

USC -32 over Hawaii--no chimichanga (jimmy chang) for the bows anymore. the alltime passing leader in NCAA yardage i think? not to mention they lost every starting WR they had and the only returners are 3 or 4 offensive linemen . this one will be ugly early. if the trojan scrubs score when leinart and bush are on the bench in the 2nd half they will cover no doubt. then again, jerry glanville and june jones are no slouches as coaches. still leaning with the condoms just not enough to make em a play yet. USC starts slowly under carroll usually but it prolly wont matter here.

ok off to bed for a couple hours til its time to pick up limbs so i can catch gameday and a pissed off other.

duke --loser. god those teams sucked. Skip Holtz still sucks.

nc st.--shoulda won outright like predicted. still covered so i win. nc st is more undisciplined that the U clubs of the 80s. mark vick suprisingly impressive.

bowling green--another loser. up 2 tds to start the game then proceeded to give up 2000 yards rushing to some new rb i never heard of. calhoun i think.

Iowa- I said win by 50 they win 56-0. not bad. blind squirrel. coulda won by 200 possibly.

TCU--i said theyd hang and OU is a shell of themselves. winner winner squirrel dinner. no fluke, tcu was much better than OU.

well a small winning week. 3-2.

glass fish project a small success thus far.

USC destroys hawaii yet as i figured but i chickened out.

A&M-1 over clemson.--thanks fran. you freaking dumbass. he musta had +2 and wanted to cover.

Anyone notice that Ferentz "relieved" Tate with 4 minutes gone in the second quarter and Iowa up 35-0, while Southern Cal played Mr. Heisman I and Mr. Heisman II until early in the 4th quarter, even though the hardons were up by 37...
man, I can't wait for someone to take these guys OUT.

ya dont think i noticed? i was cussing. lol. ferentz was not his normal self but given the situation he knew he could shut out this team with the cheerleaders suited up.

they literally could have won by more than 100. he had to call inside running plays nonstop just to prevent the hawks from scoring as much. dont think ive seen such a mismatch in long time. too bad you cant tell anything from games like this. i almost think they build overconfidence and hurt you in the long run.

you already knew your two AA linebackers were pretty decent going into this didnt you? :hihi: :hihi:

ok beotch....give me your take on these games for week 2

    Clemson @ Maryland (-2) - I like the Tigers
South Carolina @ Georgia (-16) - give me the Dawgs by at least 3 TDs
FIU @ Texas Tech (-34.5) - Tech wins by 47 or greater
Pitt @ Ohio U (+13.5) - Pitt in a statement game after the ND fiasco
    S. Miss @ Bama (-12) - I like Bama....they beat S. Miss by an average of 13-14 every year...this year by 20+

i think the clemson maryland line is about right. clemson wasnt very impressive last week kicking 6 field goals i think. their d was supposed to be dominant but A&M outgained them. i dont like either.

SC @ UGA-- everyone is gonna jump on the dawg bandwagon after last week due to BSU looking totally inept against them. I couldnt believe they didnt realize shockley was gonna run draws early on to build his confidence before letting him pass. then BSU's qb forced 4 picks with one being his very first pass. he blew any chance they had in the game. I dont look for it to be so simple this week if SC has any plan whatsoever. Not sure if SC can stop the run to force their hand. I'd lean with the cocks til i see something different.

FIU @ Mike Leach--i dont know anything about FIU so i figure the general public doesnt either. I guess this means the oddmsakers inflated this line since everyone know mike leach will score 100 if he can. Id take FIU for that reason.

Pitt @ Ohio U--dave wannstedt has always been an excellent coordinator and a poor to average HC at best. it showed last week as well. their d was horrible and laying double digits even to a crappy MAC team means Pitt will have to score around 30 or more if Ohio scores only 2 tds. tough to depend on that. Id lean with ohio if forced to choose.

S.Miss @ bama--smiss overperformed last year even though dustin almond, their qb from La, struggled after looking good his freshman year once he took over the starting job..though they did beat north texas in the bowl game and he was pretty good there. i think he has the ability do well but I dont think they can stop anyone defensively with guys the size of bama that will pound them up the middle plus a weak secondary.

But, bama will rely on their defense all year. last week they allowed like 150 yards to Midd Tenn. and they will be content like Saban, getting a 2 td lead and sitting on it. croyle is a good qb so they will throw a lot more this year when needed but they wont need to do too much here. 12 points is a lot to cover when the HC is running out the clock early 3rd qtr but I think Bamas defense may score a time or 2 and cover the number by themselves. I almost never go against a great defense and bamas may be the best in the country.
