I see some fans pushing this idea, and the stats prove otherwise. Auburn ran for 74 Total yards, LSU ran for 42 yards. 30 yards more..Auburn 1.9 per carry, LSU 1.8. Also LSU had 267 yards passing, Auburn had 110.
So LSU had 309 yards of offense and Auburn had 184 yards of offense and still won?  Interesting!:dis: :thumb:
You are absolutely correct. However, when Auburn did make some yardage it was at key moments and it came in spurts. There is no doubt that LSU outplayed Auburn, but due to a variety of reasons, Auburn ended up winning. That's football.
Not only key moments, they got a td running the ball we didn't. I would say that qualifies AU running the ball more effectively.
I don't care how well they supposedly ran the ball, they still only scored 7 freaking points!!!! That's right 7. If our offense can not figure it out we could be in for a long season. If my defense only gives up 7 poinst and under 200 yards of offense, I expect to win every game. The offense was absolutely pathetic and when we did get any momentum the refs made sure to squash it with a terrible call. Reversing the obvious catch and fumble by Hester after a huge first down. AU pass interference on LaFell in the endzone end of first half - the very definition of interference. The phantom holding call on Dyakowski after a first down pickup. Then the coup de gras the "REVERSAL" of pass interference. Not that I am bitter or anything. My blood pressure is still raised. If I see three LSU players switch sides again this season, I will physically throw my TV through the window. Does Fisher's playbook only include 9 plays? The man is no offensive genius - Muschamp took him to school.
That's cool, in my frustration, I'm taking shot anywhere I can. I think I'm gonna go pick a fight with my neighbor
Another key moment pass to Freshamn TE Richard Dickson - complete for a 22 yard gain...called back for a phantom holding call, which on replay was clear there was no holding.
