1. Russia can't afford to do much. We have several corporations competing for NASA rocket contracts and we will be fine. Russia needs our money more than we need Russian rockets.
  2. Still, I thought it was a bad idea to discontinue the shuttle before developing our next spaceship
  3. The things were dangerous and killing people. 40% of them suffered a catastrophic failure killing all on board. It had to be ended sooner than expected.
  4. How do you come up with 40%? There were two fatal missions. That's bad enough but nowhere near 40%. There were 135 shuttle launches. That's a flight failure rate of 1.5% which is still unacceptable. If 1.5% of Delta or United flights crashed they would have been grounded forever and their top executives would be in prison
  5. Dude, there were five shuttles and two of them failed.
  6. Huge mistake in my opinion. I think all campaign funding should go directly into space exploration. Somewhere some master race of beings is laughing at us and calling us stupid. We are a reality show of pregnant teenagers or drunk hillbillies to them.
  7. If we are the stars of their reality show I want my check
  8. Let me rephrase, we are their people of Wal Mart

  9. What's the difference?
