Some of the voters thought Bye was a Top 25 opponent

The love affair with the Irish is alive and well.

Surely you are not suprised?   We are talking Notre Dame the team that has it's own TV contract and has been a media darling(see USC) for years.

let's think about this for a second.......

LSU has not played a solid game all year except against Miss St. Notre Dame has played very well and lost to a ranked team in OT. Besides that loss, Notre Dame has looked fairly impressive. I honestly think Notre Dame will take USC this weekend, then the media will ride the Texas bandwagon until the Big 12 championship game or Texas Tech game when they choke.

I am not surprised nor upset witht he rankings. LSU showed poorly last night against an inferior team. We will get another chance to impress voters the next 2 weeks, so Les has to make the most of the opportunity.

Only two human polls count, and the AP isn't one of them.

i dont think the problem is so much that sportswriters might think that ND is better than LSU but the way they passed us in the poll. we kill a decent team on the road and ND does nothing. traditionally, that wont happen.

i dont think lsu showed poorly. ended up killing vandy on the road. this vandy team is likely better than normal. lsu dominated vandy and with only a normal # of mistakes, beats them 60-0. mistakes are part of the game, but lsu will make nowhere near that many on average.
