The sun just came back up in Lincoln. You better keep a tight hold on Pelini because they are really talking about him up there.

They can stand in line but I'm sure that job would appeal to him.

I definately agree that he should have been the coach in the first place. Hell, I don't know why we got rid of a guy that was 9-3.

Pelini is going to be a hot commodity at the end of this season. I just wonder how high the number of offers will be with whats seems to be a good amount of coaching changes coming up.

Why do you fire the AD for poor football play? It's not like the AD is out there calling the plays. Granted, the AD hires the coach, but I would think you fire the coach first...am I wrong here?

Is he the same AD that fired Solich, and didn't even give Pellini a real shot at the job?

There's way more to it than that. Steve Pederson had absolutely no credibility in the athletic department anymore. We've been losing people there left and right for months. The biggest loss came last week when our best fund raiser suddenly quit. That's what really opened up our chancellor's eyes. When he was Tom Osborne's recruiting coordinator all those years ago was humble, nice guy. Everybody there liked him. When he was hired as the AD in 2002, he was completely different. Stalinist is a good way to describe it. I kid you not: the press conference as at 4:00 today and the parties in the Athletic Department buildings started at about 4:30.
