Howdy fellas. Some friends and I are heading to Baton Rouge this weekend for the Super Regional and I was looking for some advice on where a good place to stay is, close to the bball field and near the bar district? Where the hot party spots are; bars, women, and overall a good time? Any tips would be of great help. Thanks .

hmm the bar scene is kinda spread out. i would check out the chimes for dinner. then ask around about some bars. what kind of scene are you looing for? young college crazy bars, chilled out more "mature" bars, music, etc....

when you get your hotel make sure it isn't in the ghetto, lol

Regarding fun, go to New Orleans for all that.

Regarding hotels, along I-10 and College Drive area should be good for both location and quality.

A Texas Aggie should feel right at home at the Alamo Plaza Motel.

advice from an Aggie that has been to Baton Rouge several times... Fred's and bogey's are my favorite bars... Fred's is like the Tap and Bogey's is like Logan's on northgate... good times, good whiskey, and good women...

    enjoy yourself!!

oh yeah, try the "death valley" drink at some bar by tiger stadium...

Make sure you come visit the tailgating behind the left field bleachers. I promise you that you will have a great time.
