The nation's most electrifying dual threat quarterback has redefined the LSU recruiting process in less than six months, becoming one of the biggest spokesman for a program in which he has yet to put on a uniform for.

Yet for Russell Shepard, it simply comes naturally.

With the Mississippi State game bringing in a number of top recruits, both committed and still on the board, Shepard made sure he was in Baton Rouge to see everything go down.

"When I found out all those guys were coming down for homecoming I knew I had to get into town," said Shepard, who led his team to a victory on Friday night by rushing for 257 yards and three scores, and passing for 169 and two touchdowns. "It was a great time. I got a chance to catch up with Chris [Davenport] and them. Stavion [Lowe] even came all the way from Brownwood. It's always fun to get us together in Baton Rouge."

One of the top priorities for Shepard heading into the weekend was to show the Seminole Trio the ropes. Mission accomplished?
