What do you guys think about the new team gear? Noticed the players wearing black warm-ups for the pregame interviews and also Miles' jacket.

I'm not sure what I think yet.

And is that DiNardo in the attached image below?

Miles sort of looks like a motorcycle gang member in that jacket. I don't like anything that is a trend started by Mark Richt. In other words, I would prefer to stay with white and P&G.

Who let that friggin Denardo in to see Miles? That guy's a joke and probobly a jinx. Miles shouldn't of touched him.

To be honest FSU would probably be first then us before Georgia b/c both basketball teams had black warm up that they wore alot around school last year.

LSU's colors don't include black so it does nothing for me, might as well have orange and blue.

For that matter, is anyone else noticing that Toonces has become persona non grata on new LSU gear? Completely replaced by The Eye.

I think I can dig that.

I believe the black warmups started from last year's Sugar Bowl and continued this year. The players seemed to like it so why not?

You mean the outfit Miles wore at the Best Damn Sports Show? There are broad yellow stripes at the sleeves with the LSU logo replaced by the Eye of the Tiger. I think that outfit looks nicer than the motorcycle outfit at the Award Ceremonies.

They've been friends for a long time. DiNardo actually stood in Miles' wedding. They coached together at Colorado back in the 80's.

And yes, I really like the black gear.

Here we go, screwing with our Purple & Gold brand in the name of money.
BAD, BAD, BAD idea. Right when our coach is going to get the optimum exposure they put that jacket on him. 99.9% of all college football fans watching outside of LSU had no idea what the patch was or meant.
So stupid and ridiculous. Do any of these folks who are making these decisions have a degree in Marketing?
