New Coach's Poll

I know this is an endless, futile argument, but how in the world can Florida State remain ranked above LSU? Our 2 losses were to Top 5 Teams on the road and they lost to Miami (who lost to UNC) and unranked Maryland.

WHY IS TENNESSEE GETTING SCREWED SO BADLY? COULD IT BE AN EFFORT TO KEEP THEM OUT OF THE TOP 10 SO THAT AUBURN'S WIN OVER THE VOLS DOESN'T MEAN AS MUCH? SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT AND VOL FANS SHOULD BE LIVID - PARTICULARLY WITH MICHIGAN AT #8 (LOSS TO NOTRE DAME), MIAMI AT #10 (LOSS TO FREAKING UNC) AND UGA AT #5 (THE TEAM THEY DEFEATED ON THE ROAD) - SOMETHING REALLY STINKS HERE FOR TENNESSEE...

something is very weird with the polls in regards to the rankings of Georgia (ahead of Tennessee by SO much even though Tennessee beat them) and California being so high.

Auburn is getting screwed by Tennessee's ranking, as is Tennessee themselves.

The AP poll has Georgia 9 and Tennessee 10, still wrong but not as blatant as the coach's poll.

this is why coach's should not vote...............it is crooked.

 

To argue that it is somehow a travesty that Fla St is ranked higher than us is nonsense. I do not care that we lost to 2 top 5 teams, look at our performance against Troy, Vandy and Oregon St (oohhh real tough teams huh?)
My point is not to belittle this team, but to have people stop using this lack of respect bullsh!t card, b/c this season we have not earned it. I was the first one to jump up and down last year about it, but if you have been paying attention to our games this year then we have no right to say squat regarding the polls. As an LSU homer I am not sure we are a top 20 team.
Tennessee is a whole different story.

 

Georgia has won some ugly games.. they really didnt have a good game until they played LSU.. I'm not buying that they should be ranked higher..

LSU, despite its loses coming from top teams, has played sloppy all year. They lost 2, barely won 2, and didnt convince me last night.. their only good play was in their blowouts.. ranking is correct, if not too high..

One think that does amaze me is OkSU's ranking.. this is the first time ive seen a team move up in the rankings after a loss. LSU dropped, what, 10? after losing to Auburn..

 

Cal is ranked so high because their only loss is to SC, and that game was dead close (and on the road for Cal).

I think the rankings will work themselves out before the end of the season.

 

Tennessee will be a Top 10 team if they win out and Auburn wins out, because Auburn will have to knock Georgia off to do it. Auburn's in great shape to make noise as long as they take care of their own business.

 

The fact a team who lost to Baylor is still ranked pretty much sums it up.

 

They are keeping Georgia high to play up the showdown with Auburn. It's all about the TV ratings and the Money. Big game, big stakes, big audience, big sponsors.
Either Georgia will "justify" :dis: it's mystical high rating, or They will drop like a rock if Auburn thumps them.

I hope "caddilac" has a motor running, I'm completely tired of hearing about Pollack and his motor.

One good thing that I haven't heard that was everywhere at the beginning of this year is " Greene for Hiesman talk". :shock: it kind of petered out :lol:

 

It makes no sense at all for GA. to be ahead of TENN. but on the other hand I am not sold on TENN. being a top 6 or 7 team.

 

With Auburn's rough start against Ole Piss, I'm scared to death thinking of the UGA and UAT games. Auburn won't beat UGA playing like they did against Ole Piss. However, I think a week off will REALLY help us in preparing for UGA.
