Hey...I know yall don't like us too much, and the feeling is pretty mutual, but I just wanted to see what yall thought about some stuff. First I wanted to know what yall thought about Miles. Good hire? or miss Saban already? Also I know that yall are already thinkin SEC West champs for 05, but I was wondering if its gonna be for real with Miles and Russell or if its just wishful thinking. I know you're returning a lot of players and have some good ones steppin up but realistically thinking, how do yall see next season turning out?
Don't mind islstl....he can be a bit rude sometimes. "Welcome to TigerForums", we're gonna beat the crap out of you.
Fasten your flak jacket comrade Seriously this is a good board with lots of knowledgeable sports fans (and a few that were rejected at birth) :hihi:
:hihi: :hihi: I think LSU and AU will be fighting for the cellar spot. JR transfers to Sly Croom while RP takes over at Bama then beats the Barners 3 years straight by an average margin of 60 then goes on to lead the saints to 5 consecutive superbowls after leaving early for the draft. Brodie Croyle's younger brother signs with LSU as a QB and helps LSU finish 5th each year by one game just ahead of you Barners. Moral victories become commonplace for both schools.
Ok, Ok, let the civilized people speak. I, along with most, were concerned with the time it took to round out the defense coaching staff. Although it took a long time we are really pleased with what Miles has done. On the offense side of the ball we are gushing with talent. Honestly, I could probably use plays from Madden '05 and win 9 games. Miles is an offense minded guy and I have a good feeling that he will get Russell under control. PS We will beat the crap out of you guys!!!!!
i would bet the house that LSU has more team speed than any team in the country...on both sides of the ball. we have 3 fantastic scholarship QBs that will duke it out this summer. add to that 2 of the fastest people in the country (green & carter...carter might be the fastest period), along with a host of other playmakers at WR, plus a backfield at least as good as the one AU just lost (with the addition of a brian westbrook protege in addai), and a returning O-line that will only be missing one guy from last year...and on TOP of all of that, miles is an offensive minded coach that will be working hand-in-hand with an already outstanding OC...and i'd say that SEC defenses have a bonified NIGHTMARE on their hands. you're looking at an offense with the capabilty to easily rack up 200 yds on the ground and 300 yds in the air every game. with the luring in of some top recruits and the assembly of a deadly coaching staff, miles has FAR exceeded the expectations of even the most optimistic fans to this point. realistically thinking, as you put it, this team is incredibly L-O-A-D-E-D in basically every corner of the game.
Actually we are sad to see Saban gone but Miles has the potential to make our team even better. I think we are all excited about our hires (and who we kept) on our caoching staff. As far as Jamarcus he will get pushed hard by Ryan . oh by the way congrats on going undefeated and winning a nat....... ooops sorry heres a picture of the trophy though :crystal:
