1. With Muschamp leaving there seems to be an opportunity to sway some Longhorn recruits this way. There is a lot of chatter going on.
  2. care to be a little more specific, like which players?
  3. Kendall Thompson has been rumored to be a lock to LSU before this happened but because of HS coaches and the Texas staff, LSU and insiders have been trying to keep it off the boards. Varsity Blues drama...

I know Cedric Reed liked us before he committed and he confirmed he is going to look around.

Others who had interest in LSU:

    OG Sedrick Flowers
    S Sheroid Evans
    OG Christian Westerman

OU should benefit the most if guys start looking elsewhere.
  4. Do you think this year with the Horns woes and Aggie success gives the Aggies an opening to get the program a step closer to Texas over all?
  5. Short-term yes... But Texas is still Texas in the long-run IMO. Texas has a lot to do though to right the ship. Need to reach some kind of coaching stability soon. Having Mack another year when he was supposed to retire after this year hurts them worse in that regard.
  6. What do you think it does with regards to Rasco? If anything?
  7. Definitely helps because I believe tat eliminates them all together and now he will focus on LSU, FSU and maybe Bama.

I think he has been a LSU lean for a while now.
  8. Explain the Kendall Thompson situation please. I see he is a four star linebacker, is he comitted to Texas & the coaching change may change his mind or what? A lock to LSU?
  9. Some sources are adamant that he is a lock to switch to LSU but is keeping it very low key because of the backlash he received when he tried to come in for an official for the Bama game. HS coaches and the Texas staff put a stop to it as soon as they heard. If true, I guess his reasoning would be that he wouldn't have to deal with his HS coaches in his ear as much if he waiting to switch until the last minute. I even heard rumors he was spotted on LSU's campus recently but I haven't received any confirmation on that.

He publicly stated a week or two ago that he is still solid to Texas, however.

He is a big LSU fan.
