hi guys. I'm new to Tiger Forums. I've been over at another LSU-themed message board for a few years, but I was recently banned for discussing rules that the board management would prefer to pretend they don't have. Anyway, a friend who is a regular here (don't know his screen name as yet) told me about this place and here I am. I've been following LSU football since I was a toddler. My parents had season tickets from the time I was about 4 years old. I'm now 32, and they still have those same seats. I graduated from LSU in 1996. I now live in and practice law in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I keep an LSU-themed blog (which indirectly led to my banning from the other message board), but I won't mention it by name unless given the go-ahead. I look forward to getting to know everybody here. :geauxtige
Welcome aboard from an Aubie. This is a great board and I have never seen anyone even get criticized for questioning the "management". I can relate to your problem though since I used to be active on an Auburn board where one or two of the mods would jump all over you if you questioned their judgement. I never got banned but was suspended for a few days on a couple of occasions.:angryfire
Wecome. It's a slow time of year but you'll find this place far more mature than the other place. Become a contributor and check out the Free Speech Alley. The liberals need support and/or continued ridicule.:hihi:
Well, I can go back at any time if I send an email apologizing for my transgressions. I refuse. It was my first banning in 3 1/2 years. i suppose it will be my last. In my 12 or so years of using message boards, BBS's, etc., I have never once been banned from anything. I guess it's a badge of honor.
I'm out of that business. Message boards are wastelands of political commentary. Actually, the political board at the other site was made originally partially at my behest, because political discussions started taking over other forums. They made a dedicated board for it, and the rest is brownshirt history.
Not really. It is, of course, filled with idiots but everyone knows that. There are also a lot of good posters, and a few who are very knowledgeable but have outsized egos that can't be contained in any hat or helmet. My downfall was the blog. Once I started the blog, it was the beginning of the end for me over there.
I got put on double secret probation here for insulting other members, but, C'mon! They were being idiots and deserved it.
