Are you kidding me? You are in FG range and you throw? You wait 20 plus seconds to call a timeout? If you would have saved that time out in spite of all the other screw ups you would have won the game. Nice going Les. This one is squarely on you. BTW, if you are in the real world and making 3.5 million per year you are expected to have a plan if certain scenario's happen. You obviously haven't coached your players in these situations. BTW, Jordan Jefferson is a far better choice at QB than Lee. What does that tell you? We are in trouble. Jefferson is clearly a better talent but he seems confused at times throughout the game. 8-3 - losers of 2 of 3. A loss next week and we are 8-4. Ummmm, this sounds familiar. Les if Michigan calls this time please take the call.
Les will probably Stay. Crowton NEEDS to go at a minimum. IF we had a decent OC, we'd never needs Mile's PISS POOR clock management skills. solution for AD: Get a new OC and buy MILES A Giant game clock and tell him to study it HARD, oh yeah and take the clock price out of his pay, not that it would hurt him but to drive home a point. Defend him all you want but for the kinda money he makes it requires clock management skills. this wasnt even close to being his first FUBAR on the clock, just the worst.
I really think we have the basis for a pretty good team next year. I'm PO'd that we lost to Ole Miss when we shouldn't have. I do think we return a pretty good core but we have got to do something to coach up some of these young players. It's awful to see that Miles is a great recruiter and a decent coach but this type of game makes you wonder about ability to coach up these kids.
This is just the straw. It was not the only time he has had his head up his a$$ at crucial times in a ball game. Too many delay penalties, time outs, etc. to say this is a blip on the screen. This guy does not have control of his coaches or he does not communicate his plan to them as well as he should. It is evident in the play of our kids, they are lost out there. Why do we prepare all week to only come out and not know what we are going to do. Perfect example is the series after half-time, it was horrible. You go out with a 2 point lead and need a crucial drive. You have seen what the defense has for 30 minutes. What the HELL did you talk about in the locker room. You had a full 15 minutes to get a series script together and you go 3 and out. Not because the other team was better but because YOU made mistakes that helped them stop you.
