Brings back good memories. I was living in Gretna when Pete was with the Jazz, and I used to go buy a $5 ticket and sit up in the nose bleed section way up top in the superdome and watch. Rich Kelly was our center. Pete had some great battles with Walt Frazier from the Knicks. That seemed to be the matchup everyone wanted to see. Walt was like the defensive player in the league. Pete could play defense, especially against Walt, he seemed to be up for it. I started going to watch the Jazz when they played in a college field house, was it Loyola? Ocassionally I'd spring for a better ticket, I did actually see some games closer up. I guess we'd move down to the second level after halftime. That was a lot of fun. Pete was the most entertaining basketball player I ever saw, more entertaining than even Jordan.
