It's the "Humanitarian Heisman" given to the college player who "best combines exemplary community service with outstanding academic and athletic achievement". To bad its named after Worthless Wuerffel (what did he ever do that was "Humanitarian"?) Niswanger is also still a finalist for the Draddy Award aka "Academic Heisman" I guess 2 outa 3 aint bad :thumb:
I will just assume you are NoLimtMD's son. As far as Wuerffel is concerned, he did a lot of good for inner city kids in New Orleans.. leading efforts through Desire Street Ministries to better their lives. Read about it if you are curious...
Congrats Rudy...I'm glad that we are represented by players like Rudy and do not deal with some of the stuff that goes on at other schools.
Look here Amigo/Satan/Son, I don't know what you're talking about. Wuerffel has done some great things after his pro career (as mentioned above) and I'm proud that Niswanger got the award. It's nice to see some dope like Wuerffel turn his noodle arm into a positive and bring some pretty impoverished people to the Lord. I was never a fan of his while he was playing, but I've been a big fan since seeing some of the things he's doing. Congrats Niswanger and Wuerffel. IMO, this is a very valuable and meaningful award.
Indeed I have. Prior to your comments all I knew about Wuerffel was his heisman and his bust with the saints. After reading about what he has done, my opinion of him has changed. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Let's not forget his failure w/ the Skins too. :hihi: In all seriousness, that's a pretty classy retraction there MTV.:thumb:
I just can't get Danny's picture of my head with his helmet turned around being tackled with the Aints
