And then there's HIllary....about the most vicious, ruthless political operator of our lifetime. She will destroy the oil and coal businesses, America's most reliable and abundant energy sources, in favor of "green" energy that can't possibly sustain the country. She will do worse to the military. And she will continue Obamacare to its logical point of self-implosion, and switch us to the single-payer system she championed as First Lady. She will destroy anyone who doesn't play ball with her, and respond to any attack with "well, as Michelle Obama says (and now no one can argue because that will make you a racist), when they go low, we go high." She wouldn't know the high road if Bill kicked her to the curb there.
Can't have a reasonable alternative until we invest in reasonable alternatives. Democrats want that transition, Republicans don't.
Good friend of mine is a petroleum engineer. He says the only viable alternative to fossil fuels is hydrogen; it can be extracted from water, and generates the necessary power. Problem is, no one is putting serious money into hydrogen fuel development. Its all sun and wind. You can't run ships or planes on either. Fossil fuel drives the engine of the economy, and there is no alternative.
