We just like Prime’s Buffs. We slow out the gate then play like nfl team for next 3 qtrs. Our QB was on fire.

Kelly knows we are not very good in the secondary which is why he already has 6 commitments from DB's for 2024 and used the portal heaverly in 2022 to try to fix this problem. He added 4 CB's in 2023 from the portal and 4 from high school CB's in the 2023 class. This tells me he is well aware we need to find 1 or 2 lockdown corners. If the problem is our DB coach then I expect him to fix it. Lastly losing our best DB Brooks hurt us badly. Only his second second year here. You guys need to lighten up. Leave him alone let him get HIS own recruits before you judge him and start calling for everyones heads.

I will judge him 2 years from now.

I haven't seen anyone calling for his head (House's head, yes, but not Kelly).
most I've seen want to see defensive changes and know that likely won't happen until the offseason.

the holes in the roster are the more crucial ones IMO.
I think we got very lucky that pretty much all of our portal guys were successes in 2022.
because typically the guys that are available in portal end up like what we are seeing this season.

we were so damn thin when he got here that it will take a couple classes of freshmen to get to where we should be

Concerned about our secondary coach as well. We don't teach our corners to look for the ball! Seems like we've had a bunch of interception chances every game where our guy had a chance to intercept but he's watching the receiver and waiting to disrupt the catch instead.

Had we used the turn-a-head technique we may have lost the receiver tho. :D

They can't look for the ball, they are usually trying to catch up to the WR they lost a few seconds ago

House needs a few years to just like Kelly does. I have faith in House right now. Not having at least one lockdown corner really really hurts. Having one allows us to free up one more guy. Once again this team is trying to recover from the dumster fire when O was released. Give the guy some time to prove himself.
