I sure do hate the end of the season, or for our Tigers to leave us with a performance like that now I am like. WHOS NEXT !!!! DAMN... 30 days no REAL football, sure we can watch Auburn vs Tenn but Auburn will hammer them, the rest is now a USC suck fest with Auburn getting screwed.... Man, what a finish to a great season. yes 9-2 is one hell of a season, a win in the swamp, undefeated at home, and a pounding in little rock, several come from behind wins. Just a great season..... And they leave us with the best peformance of the season. Total domination and we are all like "Hey can we see that again....." Now we have to wait 4 weeks to show some spare Big 10 school what Southern football is all about. See you in Orlando (hopefulle), time to de-stress, repair the damage to the living room from the Troy State, UGA, and Auburn games and god forbid go shopping. Oh and watch Basketball... If the Capital One Bowl does indeed invite LSU..... By the looks of things thus far from Iowa fans that have visited this forum, we have lots of good football talk aherad of us with them. That should help kill off some of the time.
I am thinking positive, most bowls clamour for LSU because of how we travel. LSU put a HUGE exclamation on why they would want LSU. Positive thinking, although driving to the cotton bowl from my own how is about 30 minutes and its great being around town with the invasion of my bretheren..... I hate the cotton bowl... At least until the new stadium is built...
I heard that Wroten will be shifting to Spear's position at DE next season. I think I read in the Recruiting forum that we are looking hard at signing a big DE. We definitely have a logjam at DT. Sounds like a nice problem to have. And as for missing Spears, IMO, he has a bigger pair of shoes than Lavalais. He will be deeply missed as both a player and a leader.
