When he was elected, I thought he was a shoe in for two terms but no I don't know. Healthcare reform, wars and the economy will tell the tale. So far, he's not doing well on any of them.

As terrible as Obama is, I don't see the Republicans running anyone worth a damn. I think until the Republicans find an identity beyond "we don't like Obama and he might be a terrorist loving Muslim, hey vote for us" they will be hard pressed to defeat him. And that is sad because if the race to worst President ever were the hundred meters Obama would be Usain Bolt.

For the record Bush would be someone else really fast. Maybe Usaffa Powell or that guy from LSU that ran for Trinidad.

I sure hope so but not real confident anyone credible will run or be elected. We haven't had a good choice since Reagan.

We ended up with Bush and Obama because the best we could muster to oppose them was Gore, Kerry, and McCain.

It's amazing how a nation of 300 million people can't do better than this.

Can you imagine if Obama is re-eleceted? We can go 84 months in the future and he'll still be blaming his failures on Bush. :nope:

That's the sad part. It will probably be another vote for the lesser of two evils. You leave the voting booth feeling like you've just done something extremely sleazy and you need a long shower. So far the Republican leaders have shown no sign that they will wake up from their drunken stupor in time for the next election. Sad, very sad, we need a legit 3rd party baaaaaaad!

One termer. The guy won by 6% over McCain, who was way past his prime and showed it. It was the first presidential election since '72 that I didn't vote. But I'll be there early and often in 2012. As long as the Reps. don't run a fringe candidate i.e. Palin or Huckabee, they will win. Independents are leaving Obama in droves, latest Gallup has support among whites at 39%, down from 60 plus. Young voters have made their statement and won't bother next time. I really believe the guy has only 3 years left, they know it and that's why the big push for Health Care and Cap and Trade. It's the Dem's opportunity of a generation. It won't come around again for a long time.

So what candidate are the Republicans going to run that would gain the independent vote? They might have to come up with more than Obama is a bad President to get people off the sofa and to the voting booth. If they push another right wing corpse for their candidate you will see 4 more years of Socialist reform.
