Without the stimulus, where would unemployment be today? What was the republican economic recovery plan? Under the republican economic implosion, we decimated the housing industry, the banking industry, and the auto industry. Without the stimulus, what other major segments of the economy were you prepared to decimate as we spiraled down? Or explain your other recovery plan and just how it would have worked? Look at the stock market going into March 9 this year, and the recovery since. The stimulus was passed in Feb. It changed investor psychology and improved consumer sentiment, and it halted the death spiral in the economy. That's what a stimulus is supposed to do.
