I noticed several names being mentioned as possible replacements for Offensive line coach. I know one was Tulane’s former head coach and a couple of them played at LSU. Anyone have any information on them? Any rumors going around about a front runner? Am I correct in assuming this is the last vacancy CLM needs to fill on his staff? ldskule:
Per Dandy Don: There is no new news to report on who will replace offensive line coach Stacy Searels. The three names I am hearing the most are Chris Scelfo, Chris Truax and Blake Miller. Truax and Miller are former offensive linemen at LSU. Also, Mike S mentioned last night that he has also not heard anything. Per Miiles at his last press conf: "We've interviewed six or eight guys for the offensive line job," Miles said. "We have some very quality candidates. (Crowton) has had some input with the offensive line coach." So all in all...nothing new.
Miles has done well to hire Crowton first, let him have a lot of say, or let him pick the o-line coach unless Miles vetos him. Empower Crowton, let him know you trust him. Then he puts his mark on the organization, and the o-line coach knows he's Crowton's pick. This should work out well, IMO.
Thanks for the update. I know Scelfo was HC at Tulane. What have Truax and Miller been doing since leaving LSU? ldskule:
Damn all this Saban talks got me screwed up o: And thanks to the gutless wonder that gave me red for that!
