LSU has addressed one of its pressing recruiting needs with an early commitment from Ernest McCoy, a 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive guard from Belle Glade, Fla. According to Rivals.com, he is rated as the No. 38 prospect in Florida and No. 10 nationally among guards. McCoy also considered Auburn, Florida, Miami and Pittsburgh.

That's great news! With our young guys getting a lot of experience they should have more effective technique on run blocking next year too. I saw two seal blocks on that Holiday run that sprung it- I, for one, and generally speaking, forget to give lineman credit they deserve- in any team.

I love to see LSU sign speed and power... Ernest McCoy definitely sounds like power... a lot of power. Can wait to see his name on National Signing Day.
