I agree. He's the best point we have. He needs to take a few shots and become more confident. He makes some sick passes in the interior.

I agree. Voogd can actually dish the ball. He even hit a 3 last night and made a couple drives to the basket. He still coughs it up every now and then. Watching us try to break a full-court press is painful. I think Voogd can become a solid PG eventually. He looks like his confidence is growing, but it is far from blossomed.

Martin frustrates me to no end on the defensive end of the court. Over and over his players dribble right past him and drive to the hoop. Mason... I am not even sure why he plays. Sorry to say it, but he's done nothing good. Unfortunately, we are getting to see why they are transfers from other schools.

I agree, but Brady won't bench Temple. Playing both Voogd and Temple at the guard spots gives us less offense.

I was disappointed Johnson only played a few minutes. Hits a 3, then heads to the bench.

Davis needs to play down low. He should also start eating cookies again too. I really liked the larger version of him that wore out defenders down low. Right now he does not have the will to stay down there and battle. He doesn't have the stamina to do it either.

Sure he is in much better shape. Yes it is a great accomplishment for him to have lost 50 pounds. But you don't make such a drastic physical change and remain the same type of player.

He is definitely getting double and triple teamed down low, but in the past he dealt with that pretty well. He's stay in place and dish it out. Or he would drive through it for a basket. Right now he would rather not battle and do the things LSU needs him to do. Wear down defenders as the game progresses, for 35+ minutes a game.

He'd rather just not deal with it and step outside. His shot is definitely improved form long range and he deserves all the credit in the world for adding that to his game. But ultimately it is not what we need from him. It has to be more about the team and less about Glenn. Oh and for the love of god, when he does step out for a three (since I realize he will be doing this long-term no matter what), get your foot behind the line!!!

Wasn't a fight about to break out or something...I was half watching and half talking about recruiting.

Nah, just a little shoving ... no biggie. I don't think that had anything to do with Johnson playing 7 min.

Johnson is a unique case. He has such a smooth stroke from all ranges on the court. His offensive presence is great to have out there. Defensively though, he is a huge liability. Unless he is firmly planted under the basket at the center position in some type of zone defense. In that case, he has the ability to defend the paint with his length. Although he is still prone to being pushed around.

With that being said, I was very happy to sit in the PMAC last Wednesday and see him get the playing time. He is truly deserving of every minute he's gotten and then some. I was proud of Brady for giving Johnson the start.

As much as we miss Darrell Mitchell, Tyrus Thomas made Big Baby's life much easier down low. Baby was the army and Thomas was the air force. Now that Baby is on his own he can't do either as well.

And what's the deal with rebounding? My oh my , how can we be so bad at rebounding? (my best Hawthorne impression)

It's quite simple really, our players rarely get down low and box out. They seem to be running to the other end of the court once a shot is taken.
