Nebraska is up 10-7. I know many felt a close first half, thinking USC pulls away in the second, but Nebraska definitely came to play- they're matching up well to now. They're having success with the quick slants like Idaho did.

neb needs to worry more about stopping these holes... I could push a tank thru some of these holes the USC offensive line is opening up...

    If it Plays Out

Got to admit. USC looked Good Tonight....
So there is nothing better that I want for LSU and USC to stay 1 & 2.
Can You imagine New Orleans if that's the case....

With the Big XII weak this year....If both teams win out, it will be Oklahoma on the outside looking in....

Also as a side note, it was great to see RP get a full game. I still want MF as the General, but we needed to see RP handle a full game.

This is going to be a special Season.

WOW... Musberger actually called the AP rankings "irrelevant". Never thought I'd see the day.

I keep hearing that USC's defense is as good, fast as LSU's, but Neb puts up 31. Maybe it was late against 2nd stringers...I didn't see the full game. USC is pretty impressive. But, Neb's defense seemed non-existent. VT might not have really been that good, but they only got 7. The USC media cult will keep them squarely at #1, but I'm not seeing how this game solidifies USC's claim to it...except they were already there.LSU! LSU!

For those of you who saw this game, what did USC's defense look like? I see Nebraska had over 400 yards, but were down 42-10 after 3 quarters. Did they move the ball during the game or only during the 4th quarter when the game was over?

I tried to be open minded about USC and watch the game (with the audio off) to determine whether USC was, indeed, good enough to be permanently rubber stamped into the #1 slot. My main conclusion? Nebraska has no defense, or at least a very ineffective D-Line. USC's OL is good and their RBs are fast, but I would have no nervousness before an LSU game against them.

Florida, on the other hand, scares the crap out of me.

I don't think USC's defense is as good as advertised. Their d-line and linebackers are very good but their secondary is average. I bet three or four set recievers would give this team fits.

    Nebraska looked sssllllloooowwww :dis:
