http://www.ttforums.com/index.php/topic,16789.0.html 3 points on MOO U is pathetic. There's no way Bama was looking ahead, noone ever over looks a SEC opponent.
Even if I were to agree with his logic, which I think is somewhat understandable from an opponent's standpoint, you still have to compare that with what Bama has done - needing LUCK to get by Ole Miss, only putting 3 offensive points against Miss St. I mean, Bama is in no place to say LSU is overrated because of luck.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzz..... He makes some very valid points and most of it has some truth to it, but I say we let the playing speak for itself next weekend (win or lose)
I've been thinking about this scenario for a long time, but I really didn't think it would be this far drawn-out. I figured we would have had our A-Game together by UNT (which I thought we did, but...) Opposing teams' fans will continue to look at LSU and say, "over-rated, inconsistent, lucky, talent but not production, etc." as long as we keep playing the way we do. I guess this could be good and bad. We get no respect from anyone, however no one would expect for us to compete and actually get a chance to win. I'm trying to see how long it will take for the media (cringe) to start "unfavoring" us. I kept saying that if we play like this against (insert team name here,) we'll get our asses handed to us. Hasn't happened yet, besides UT, and that's another story. Oh well... just a sunday morning rant.... wow it's 2:14pm.... hmm
"Couple that with the fact that Florida layed the ball on the ground against them 5 times and they still only won by 7" That's not true...we turned it over 5 times to them and they couldn't win.
I think it will be a slugfest, with two good defenses. If there is an upside surprise, I think LSU will provide it. I think they have not played their best game yet. I don't think Bama has as much upside to surprise LSU. Anything can happen. But I like our chances.
That dude needs to get his facts together before expressing his opinion as such. WE put the ball down 5 times against Florida and STILL won. ...and Auburn....how many field goals did WE miss? How many touchdown passes did WE drop? It's funny how the non-interllectual seem to forget such small details....give me a damn break.
Had to bring up the dropped passes issue to a auburn fan the other day when we were talking about the game... he said "oh yeah...I forgot..."
The truth of the matter is that Bama is not impressive w/o Prothro. I hope I'm right but I just can't see Bama beating us. Our D has been great for the most part, and althought the O has been inconsistent, I like the way JR engineers drives in the clutch. :geauxtige
