So this is what a CNN lawyer explained about the sentencing. He has 3 separate paroling periods. One is 6 years long. Then the 2nd and 3rd are 1 1/2 years long each. That's a total of 9 years minimum in prison, and that's only if the 3 parole boards ALL grant him parole for good behavior. Likely, he would serve most of the the 15 years.
He only murdered his wife and tried to steal "his" things back from someone else. What's the big deal?
