Oklahoma should be elimanated from playoff talk

When your defense allows over 50 points you suck and you don't belong until field is expanded to 16. While is at 4, they don't belong in discussion period.

 

But....The playoff is there to eliminate teams like that, right?

 

They shouldn't even get in. It is for the best four teams and they aren't it this year.

 

But when you can score over 60....

 

It's eye candy season and that is where votes are gonna count. So you aren't wrong, but OU exist on what everyone else is doing as well. A lot of ranked teams lost yesterday to include the team they played. There is time left for them and so, I believe, this discussion is a bit premature.

Give OSU a little credit for scoring what they did. They deserve that part of the conversation as well. It's bedlam, a game almost never predictable.

 

OU will be in the playoff if they are a one loss Big 12 champ and the Big 10 champ has 2 losses. Final 4 could be Bama and Georgia if the SEC title game is close. Along with Notre Dame and Clemson but if any of them slip up the Okies are in.

 

I know they will be in. I think they shouldn't be. Any team giving up 50+ on defense can't be one of the 4 best teams.

 

Haven't you heard - offense wins big 12 championships.

Seriously, I don't think they should be eliminated because of a single game, in which they won by the way.

 

LSU gave up 50 to Arkansas in a loss in 2007 and still won the natty.
