Stoops could earn $6 million. Remember not so long ago when Saban's $4 million was considered outrageous. Where is it going?

It's a 1 time payment that was included in the contract for him being there for 10 years. After it is paid he is then making the same salary that he was before, unless he gets his contract re-negotiated for habitual choke jobs in BCS games.

Stoops was still going to make more than Saban this year. Not a lot more if you consider 50K being a great difference.

According to his contract, a 3 million dollar bonus will put him closer to 7 than 6 million.

The notion that this article is insinuating that players are going to be paid is way off base. It's the Athletic Department generating a lot of money and through that sharing it with the staff, in this case Stoops, Venables, and some of the others.

Lighten up. This is a sarcastic post and is stated as a question. I'm sure the OU players are enjoying the quote. You consistently bring a negative cloud to things on this board.
