Did anyone else think that we seemed to slip quite a bit Saturday? Was it the turf? Wrong shoes? or just one of those things?

I think I heard Jordy say some players had metal cleats on in the 1st half and would change at halftime. Don't know if they did or not.

I noticed that we were slipping alot too. Most of it was probably inexperience on a surface like that. Going in, you don't really know what shoes to wear or how well you can cut. Ole Miss, on the other hand, has played alot of games on the turf and know what their limits are. Pretty substantial home field advantage IMO.

Can't they afford groundskeepers there? It's a shame when a campus that's heralded for it's beauty has to have fake grass on their field.

We better get used to it if we're gonna play in the Sugar Bowl. That's what the dome has now.

True, but it would be my guess that it wouldn't be as slippery indoors, since it is not subject to the elements such as humidity, etc. But that's just my guess.

It looked plastic on tv. I know everyone loves that fake grass, but it really looked bad.
