This is from a Texas forum

    http://forums.hornfans.com/php/wwwt...1775073&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=

and this is what the guy said:

Dear LSU, Stanford, SC, CSF, Miami, Rice and SMS

Welcome to the LONGHORN invitation at the University of Texas at Omaha, enjoy your stay in our home.

And I always thought it was Louisiana State University@Omaha

Since Omaha is famous for their steaks I wonder if I can order some Longhorn Ribeyes after we butcher the Horns

From what I've seen the last couple of days, whoever plays Texas better have a lead going into the 7th.

Well this is Texas's 30th trip to the CWS. But they only have the same number of titles as us. Kind of sounds like football for them, always bridesmaid and not the bride most of the time.

Texas' CWS resume is impressive as is Miami's and Southern Cal's. The only "but" I would add is that in the 60s and 70s when they were piling up appearances, those 3, plus ASU and Miss. State were the only premier teams out there. It's a lot tougher now. It would be like UCLA making the final four and inviting the other teams to "their" tournament.

Well, they are the defending champs. That said, I'd rather own 5 out of the last 12 titles than just one during that same stretch, even if it was last year.

    Yuk. UT fans....

I though we were done with them after the cotton bowl.

I would rather hang out with Auburn fans the a UT fan.

Yes I said it. Live in this state for awhile. You will see, A&M and UT fans are the worst...

They own it, they might want to look at recent history. Please LSU rules college baseball and when UT gets 4 more in 10 years get back to us.

    Idiots.

Hey guys, Texas Ex, future LSU student here.

I've been reading message boards for both schools and have noticed a lot of animosity. I've come to the conclusion our fan bases are too proud and competitive to root for one another. Would you agree?

Probably right, but we're all too proud to admit it :)

I've tried not to be disrespectful to UT and their fans. They do have some good arguments to point to. Unlike Bama whose "tradition" all came under the same coach. And, please, don't bring up Stallings. He's the Bear with puppet strings.
