On the lighter side of things, I hope everyone notes that this week the senior pre-NBA camp is going on at Portsmouth. Our very own Darrell Mitchell has been invited to play in it. This is not necessarily a given for folks, as Patrick Sparks for Kentucky for example was not invited.

Geaux Darrell!!! You're one of the greatest LSU has had to offer.

I think he's got a real shot, with his athleticism and shot. Calhoun said so too... after the UConn game.

DMitch has not had a good tournament, finishing with double figure scoring in only one of the three games he's played.

He finished with 1 assist and 5 TO's, 6 points for his first game as a starter at PG in the tournament and was relegated to a bench role for the rest of it.

I hope he does well in his future endeavors. I assume European basketball is in his future.

the knock on him was that he couldn't handle the ball well enough to be a guardi n the NBA, and I guess he isn't doing enough right now to prove any of those nay-sayers wrong

All I know about D. Mitch right now is that he will go down in Tigah lore for his game winning shots and we'll be talking about a couple of them forever, a Tigah always.

of course this is the case, but I don't want to see his career just end... I'd like to continue to see him play
