In the midst of all this angst, I think our special teams are much better than they have been in recent years. I actually don't agonize anymore when we are about to kick an extra point. Skyler is amazing. Except for a breakdown late in the game, I'll credit that to our defense being tired for having to play most of the second half, kick coverage has been very good and very aggressive in trying to force turnovers. Our punters have been doing a good job also. Now, if the pass D, offense and coaching improve we should be in good shape the rest of the season. :thumb:

Two punts downed inside the 7. Good returns. Long kickoffs. High hang-times. No missed placekicks.

At least one position coach is earning his pay!

Skyler was making some amazing cuts on his returns. That kid needs the ball in his hands early and often. He is definitely back to his old form and 100%!!!

I agree. Coach Peveto has been a tremendous bright spot on the coaching staff. Our special teams units were again pretty solid for the 2nd straight game.

    Good job Peveto!!!!

    Lock him up long-term! :thumb:

IMO, Dunbar, Henson, Peveto and Porter are the only coaches living up to their end.

The defensive line hasn't allowed a 100 yard rusher and really snuff out the running game (hence the 56+ passing attempts by our first two opponents).

Henson's work with Zinger seems to be paying off (plus he's the recruiting coordinator and with 13 early commits, he's doing something right).

Addai is really playing well. He's had his 2nd solid game and this last one was against a defensive front that is very similar to our own. He just needs to get the ball more. Shyrone has also had some pretty good runs as well.
