Heard Jimmy Ott today. He said evaluating Miles as a head coach is an ongoing process and while he doesn't take back anything he said, He believes Miles is a better coach now than the last two years.

I took a little heat on the board here for calling him and arguing about Miles. I was glad to see that on Monday he got several calls (none from me) giving him a hard time.

I guess this means that instead of there being 50 coaches who could do just as good of a job, maybe he thinks we're down to about 25[IMG]

I like Jimmy Ott, but like the national media, he ain't always right. He's right more often than the national media, but it sounds like the guy was just a tad too rough on ole Les. This one game may be being blown out of proportion, but I think Miles is a solid coach. He won me over with the Miami blowout.

I agree, he's very knowledgeable on most all topics, and until this year enjoyed his show, but he got on a Miles hate and really got carried away with it. Glad to see him eat a little crow.

Luv,it's never enough for you huh?I sent you a nice email stating that even though you had some good points,no need to bring topics about talk radio to these forums right now. What satisfaction do you get by posting this?Could you do a better job than jimmy ott?Hell ,I would put money that you would be no better than josh enis.Enjoy the season and keep talk radio and tiger forums separate ok.

i don't get it. if the radio personalities are talking about lsu, why isn't it a suitable topic to discuss? it seems to me that it is no different than discussing what si, espn, or the boondock daily has to say about lsu.

I definitely agree with Okie and think it's, without a doubt, fair game and no different than Finbaum and whatever others are brought up in here. Same for any type of sports analysts in the media.......they can talk about our coach but we can talk about them as well.

Miles has grown a little since he took over as head coach here, but for the most part he's still the same coach - a great one.

What happens when we win the SEC without any first round draft picks on offense? Who's fault will not winning it with all that talent be now?
