It looks like our offense has really shined this year.
The Wizard looks like a bigger stud than Pelini and the offense had many injuries.
    Kudos to Crowton.
Pelini needs a big game against the Hogs.

    I think its a wash.

    40 ppg vs 17 ppg

It's a wash. Well done by both sides.

LSU is the only team to boast as strong an offense and defense. Most teams have one or the other. OU was the closest thing to what we have. Kansas I discount because of their weak schedule.

Considering talent, experience, and depth - definitive advantage to Crowton.

Good point - I had assumed someone else would be up there, but we sort of stand alone in that light.

I think the defense started off aggressive and has really become more conservative as the season went on.
Arky has no pass game. This will be interesting.

I give the edge to the offense, but there's room for improvement...They need to trow the ball downfield more...We got speed outside and the few times we go deep, most of the time something good happens.

Not even close. The defense has gone downhill since the Tulane game, giving up 26.5 ppg. If not for La Tech, it would be over 30ppg.

On the other hand, the offense has improved. Mostly due to Doucet coming back. Crowton has done a heck of a job. He brought in a completely new scheme and has a new QB to work with. If LSU would cut out the penalties, the offense would be even better.

Miles said before the year that a healthy Doucet late in the year would mean the offense would be difficult to stop.

We simply need to load the box and deny mcfadden the outside.

easier said than done but he is the only one that can beat us.:geauxtige

I think that the job Crowton has done has been VASTLY overlooked at this point. Considering all the things that he's had going against him, he has done a remarkable job. Who would have thought, heading into the season, that we'd be relying on our offense to continually bail us out of big games? The thought process was that we'd be average on offense, with a first year starter at QB, a new signal-caller, and losing 3 first-rounders, and that our defense would carry us through the meat of our SEC schedule.

I seriously, seriously hope that Gary stays here regardless of what Les does. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Does he have allegiances with Miles that you think would cause him to follow Les to the Sh!thouse? With all the size & speed that our offense has, I can't imagine him thinking that he'd have more to work with anywhere that he goes.
