If you were planing on tailgating on the PG in 2 weeks for the Tulane game, think again. LSU is passing out a flyer this week informing us that due to a Brooks and Dunn concert, no one will be allowed to tailgate on the PG, there will be no parking on tower drive, and tower drive will be closed to all traffic at 7 a.m. that morning. The concert is free, with the usual container restrictions. This has not yet been posted to LSUSports.net I know they need space, but does anyone think a brooks and dunn conert will take up the ENTIRE PG !? And they wonder why people dont like the tulane series.

Exactly. There won't be any room for tailgating. Quit complaining about them making you tailgate somewhere else & enjoy the fact that there is a free concert by a big name band. It's only one game.
Hey, I've got no problem with them holding a free concert. Country music isnt my cup of tea, but thats not the issue. Do you really believe that a free outdoor concert will take up so much space that it will fill a field almost large enough to put the entire PMAC on? And would you want to watch a concert going on on the opposite end of the PG? You know 2 years ago Gameday setup on the PG and they barely took up any space, and those tailgaters that had to move at least had the option to go deeper onto the PG. And lets not forget that you'll be standing out in the hot Sept. sun all day. (no chairs, no blankets, no outside food or drink). I'll admit that I don't know whether or not Coke will be providing free drinks or not, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was the latter. And where exactly do you propose we go? Any one who was at the ULL game knows that all free space on campus was gone by 10 a.m. Look, I'm greatfull that LSU is holding an "Ultimate Tiger Tailgating Concert", but you'd think they would let you "Tailgate" at the "Concert"
I didn't get the irony intil you put it like that. No tailgating at a tailgating concert. That is great.
