To commemorate my 1,000th post :hihi: I wanted to start a thread that both thanked and congratulated the Tiger Fans on this board. We are the true fans. The bandwagoners fell off when the road got bumpy...as they always do...but we held on tight and toughed out the ride. That is the ESSENCE and the BACKBONE of what makes LSU Tiger Football so great. You can hire and fire coaches, recruit talent, build facilities...but you can never replace the SPIRIT of Tiger Football that can only be found in the hearts of those that love it so. So pat yourselves on the back, Tiger Fans, and remember that WE are every bit as important to LSU Football as any player or coach can possibly be! :geaux:

Great post, but don't forget there 19 other sports to celebrate about with our Tigers. Granted football is top of the list, and only 7-8 other sports really matter. Just sayin it is great to be a Tiger for several reasons.

You're absolutely right...although I doubt fans of the chess team or what-have-you are quite as passionate about their team. Can you imagine if all of us rowdy, tailgatin', trash-talkin', beer-and-bourbon-drinkin' S.O.B.'s showed up for LSU golf??? :lol:

Really, when it comes to LSU, are there bandwagoners? This is not professional sports we're talking about. It is hard to believe that LSU has a whole lot of bandwagon fans. Yes, maybe there are some, but the majority of people who root for LSU do so because they are Louisiana born and raised and/or because they attended LSU.
