Rice is kind of a coaches graveyard. Pellini can do better. If LSU does well next year, he'll be a favorite at a bigger school.

Agreed. No way we lose him to Rice.

Agreed, the Rice job really isn't gravy. I'm sure he'll be on just about every list until next season.

What is the status of the Minnesota job? One could think Dorsey was coming back because Pelini is vesus learning a new scheme?

I don't think we have much to worry about with Rice, but IMO losing Pelini would be worse than losing Miles at this point. It is going to happen eventually, but now is a bad time.

It would suck to lose Pelini now because it looks bad to have 3 people from your staff leave at the same time. However, Pelini is not very big on recruiting so it wouldn't be too big of a loss in that sense. Also, as a coordinator our players make him look better than he is. He is a very good coordinator, but definitely replacable.

If Pelini gets a D1 head coach offer, that would be tough for him to turn down - even if it is Rice or Minnesota.

Not a whole lot of schemes to learn for a DT...

I think what the other guy was talking about was as a whole new defensive scheme...not just DT schemes...but either way I like our Defense how it is...no use in changing!

Yes, a whole new defensive scheme, but Dorsey would only have to learn the DT position...
