Our favorite pal Kirk Herbstreit says that Little Nicky will cherry pick his players out of La and Tuberville will no longer dominate bama. Any thoughts???

Glad he is wrong, Most HS in coaches in La. are LSU fans, not Bama fans.

I think he will have a hard time pulling kids from Louisiana. Plus I think a lot of Saban recruits will be met with the news clipping about Saban quitting on MSU/LSU/Miami.

As long as LSU remains an elite program we will get the majority of the top kids in this state.

Saban will be able to recruit here. Obviously Miles will out recruit him in the state, but Nick will steal a couple. HS players really look to one thing, and thats a coach that will get them to the NFL. Nick is a proven recruiter, and it is not because all the kids grew up LSU fans...but that would be a great story in a dream world.

When Saban was at LSU, he was considered an NFL-talent coach with a great reputation in the NFL. Now he is considered an NFL "bailout" at best and has a good segment of NFL personnel turned off by him. Les Miles has NFL experience too and is considered a nice guy to boot. Not to mention he has gone 11-2 for two consecutive seasons, something no LSU coach including Saban ever accomplished.

Okay, by "getting to the NFL," I meant a lot of his college players make it to the next level...which is big to HS players. They like coaches that prepare them for the pros.

You said it. Has that guy ever been right about anything? Especially regarding LSU?

At any rate, I don't think that, by annihilating two of the most storied football programs in the country in consecutive bowl games, Les is doing Nick any favors.

Miles has put several players into the pros particularly after this upcoming draft. Miles will also have more 1st round picks than Saban. If we keep going around saying stupid sh!t like "Saban gets people into the pros", then yes LA boys will listen and go with Saban.
