If that's true it'd really be CS of the refs to tack that one on. Despite some bad calls against LSU I thought the calls evened out.
Saban said during the press conference that he was told it was a hands to the face violation. He wondered, aloud, how you were supposed to block on a field goal situation without the possiblility of hands going to the face in some instances. He said he was going to watch the film and make his assessments of the officiating at that time.
This was one of the "penalties" that was not shown as a replay so I have no idea WTF happened., except the obvious...
The sideline violation was a warning only. The personal foul occurred on the field ... I think ... but who could tell? ABC's coverage was so poor almost all night, especially on that play. No one in the truck or in the booth seemed to take note of the situation on those penalties.
Ok, I wasn't sure how that sideline violation thing worked. But hey, why the hell didn't Stoops get one during his tantrum!! I agree the coverage was poor in a lot of situations. Guess they were too worried about pimping their TV shows. Gotta have those commercial breaks.
The hands to thface wasn't the personal foul. He said he wasn't disagreeing with the personal foul but the hands to the face he couldn't comprehend.
