One positive to come out of the ALA game was that Patrick Peterson and Terrance Toliver seemed to have breakout games. Peterson, in particular, looked like a beast ready to get it on now. There were a few plays that they both could have been better, but I like their potentials. Thoughts?
Peterson, I agree. He looked great in man-to-man coverage. He's bigger than most DB and looks like a natural. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Why even play Mitchell? Put Toliver in! Every time he steps in, he looks good. He should be the slot guy.
Lee needs to start using Toliver because he is a beast. I can't tell you how many times this season he's been wide open or had a couple steps on the defender and no one ever throws to him. It's really frustrating to watch because not only is he freakishly tall but he's one of our fastest receivers too. Just give the kid a freakin chance to catch the ball and more times than not he'll make a big play.
I agree, but the tackling has to get better. A lot of players were tackling too high and trying to strip the ball, which is why a couple of Jones' plays went longer than they should've. He's an awesome player though.
We need to find another super DB, because Peterson will probably leave after his Junior season. This kid is a beast and amazing in man to man coverage. The NFL will be calling him very soon.
Let's hope J.Jones follows him. Watching them was my favorite part of the game. Can't wait for the next two match-ups. This kind of thing doesn't happen very often.
Peterson is starting to look really good. Will he be better than Corey Webster before it's all said and done?
