He had his hands on him the whole time, but I really don't think Webster had a thing to do with him falling down. The Alabama receiver is grabbing Webster also. Probably still should have been PI though. Oh well.

Let the players play is what I say. Receivers and dbacks are constantly battling and too many times pass interference is called on the defense when it could just as easily had been called on the receiver. This was a good no call. If the Bama receiver tries to make the catch instead of winning an Academy Award we could have had a different outcome on this play. Regardless, one play does not make a game and even if Bama fans feel they were robbed they shouldnt. Football is a game of execution and you can't blame the game on ONE play.

Bama claims this play is the only reason they lost, I told them are they sure, the fact they could only gain 46 yards of offense in the 2nd half, or the fumble forced by spears, or the two huge plays by Addia did not play a role, they claim the refs are against them and helped LSU to win. I pointed out the missed Intentional grounding. No comment, I was told on a board that I have been a member of for several years to kindly leave. So I abliged....
Fact is sure that could have been PI, so lets give them 14 points. They still lose. They claim it was a 14 pt swing yet LSU did not score on the turnover.

In an indirect way, there is something to the 14 point turnaround claim.

LSU had been stuck inside their 25 yard line the entire game up until then. Alabama, on the other hand had been enjoying good field position. Alabama would have gone up 17-6 and more than likely stuck our offense at the 20 on the kickoff (unless we decided to run it out to the 9 yard line instead). And our offense was so piss poor up to that point, I cannot see where it would have gotten started in making a comeback down 11 points.

Instead, the 7 is wiped off the board, Corey runs it back to the 44, and we punt back and forth to each other with LSU now enjoying great field position. Finally the LSU D forces a critical turnover deep in their territory that turns into 7 and a lead we would never lose.

    Indirectly, a 14 point turnaround.

Yeah, and we could've run the ensuing kickoff back for a touchdown. Or, we could've run it out, been stopped on the 9, then thrown a 91 yard touchdown. Or....

I guess we could go on like this forever, but it wouldn't change anything

You're exactly right, but for foolish people like TE making statements that the no-call didn't change "chit" in the game, well.......
