I believe that we should implement a playoff system and include it in the bowl system. We should name the top 4 teams and have them meet in one of the early bowls for a first round matchup. This year Utah could have faced USC in the first round in the San Francisco Bowl and Auburn v. Oklahoma in the New Orleans Bowl. The winners could have played in the Orange Bowl. The rest of the bowls would be filled as they are now. This would create more interest in the lower bowls and the only thing we would lose is a couple of 6-5 teams playing each other.
