Auburn moved in front. Also, VT loses to an unranked team and does not get dropped below us in the poll? What a bunch of Cra# - Yes I do think that playing in a Conf Championship penalizes you - biggest support, just look at Penn State GEAUX TIGERS
live and die by seccg..2001 we won and BCS kicked Ill arse... thisyear not so good...every conf should a champ game:geauxtige
Come on... this shouldn't come as a surprise. Auburn is the best team in the SEC, surely you can see how they should be ranked ahead of us? Right? But in all seriousness, we're playing frickin' Miami! How awesome is that!? :geauxtige
The paper here in ACC land shows VT # 19, LSU #12 in the Harris Interactive; VT 12th, LSU 10th in the USA Today, and VT 6th - LSU t-10th in the computer rankings.
It's simple, actually: hundreds of voters have thought LSU overrated for weeks, but could not drop them because, well, they kept winning. I think only falling to #10 was kind. I figured as far as #12 was a possibility this time last week.
I also wish every conference had a championship game. We might not hate the BCS so bad then. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
I see your point. We're #10 in the AP and in the coaches. VT is ranked behind us in both of those polls. The Harris poll has us at #10 also, with VT ranked #11. What has you upset is that we are #12, behind VT, in the BCS. I can't explain the BCS, it doesn't make much sense to me either.
If you are wondering about the computers, Virginia Tech has the same record as us, and the computers determined they have a tougher schedule than us this season. It happens. I don't think where we are ranked in the BCS matters much at this point. I also am not convinced that LSU deserves to be ranked ahead of Virginia Tech right now. It could go either way, and it just isn't our way. At this point, the rankings don't matter that much, we just need to have a good showing against Miami to help out in recruiting and getting some national attention rolling for going into next season.
