Report: Possible NCAA violation at Florida | National Football Post

Now comes a report that Florida and NCAA officials are investigating a potential rules violation that may have occurred last December involving Maurkice Pouncey, who was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of April’s draft.
According to ESPN.com’s Pat Forde, the Gators are internally investigating the allegation that a rep of an agent paid Pouncey $100,000 between Florida’s loss to Alabama in the SEC championship game to Alabama and the team’s Sugar Bowl win over Cincinnati.
Florida reported the information to law enforcement officials and the NCAA after the school became aware of the allegations. Florida state law enforcement could investigate whether the state's agent registration laws were violated.
Because Pouncey, who entered the draft after his junior season, played in the Sugar Bowl, he could be retroactively ruled ineligible for the game — possibly costing the Gators the victory.
