Lafayette Co. Chancery Court Judge Edwin Roberts Jr. on Thursday said OM must allow Powe, who is learning disabled, to enroll by today. He also said in granting Powe a temporary restraining order that because Powe has met the NCAA's minimum requirements for academic eligibility, he should be placed on athletic scholarship and be allowed to practice with the team, in accordance with NCAA rules and the binding scholarship papers Powe and the university sighned in Feb. They are going to let him enroll, but O would not say when or if, he would join the team. His Mom got a lawyer, not OM. Powe is dyslexic. They say he can do the work if someone reads the questions to him. clarionledger.com
Especially if they read the answers to him also. Ole Siss could be getting in over their heads on this one, the NCAA are some vengeful bastids.
OM is under a court order to let him enroll and be on the team. They better not play him until they get it cleared. His Mom got the lawyer and is talking about a suit against the NCAA-----NOT OM.
Let's just that he wins all of his cases all the way to the Supreme Court. I do not see that happening, but what does that do to the NCAA? Does that make the Clearinghouse a non-entity? NCAA?
And you expect the Nazi's at the NCAA to make that distinction? OM should contact Dale Brown and ask him about the NCAA's vengeance.
I would love to see his first semester's class schedule. Adding Coloring Tether ball American History -- 2006 to present Remedial Fingerpainting
