LSU 28 KSU 20 My biggest concern is at QB, but I think LSU fans are going to be surprised at how well the team plays overall, considering the circumstances. Even with a lot of starters out, this game is a free audition for the younger players to show out on national television against a quality opponent. More importantly, the game will so be played in front of their new HC, which I'm sure will be watching closely. On top of that, this is also an opportunity for some of the coaches to show CBK that he should retain them on his staff. I know he's filled some of the positions, but not all. Overall, I like the idea of all the players basically starting with a clean slate and showing off their talents under the bright lights. I'm sure the players understand that how well they do in the game will definitely play a big role in how they enter fall training, if they are invited back at all. I'm excited about this next chapter of LSU football. Let's Geaux Tigers!
I have a pretty low bar for this one. I just hope it generates enough interest for me that I actually want to watch the second half without forcing myself. HOWEVER . . . . The last 2 games I felt like this were the 2021 and 2020 Gayturd games which turned out to be two of my favorite LSU games ever. You just never know.
Hey this is 2022, no problem. If someone gets hurt in the first half Davis will call a Rice football player that will quickly add his name to the TP for us to pick up. Then he will drive the 5 miles to the stadium and sign the agreed upon NIL agreement all in time to play the second half. Afterwards he will transfer back to Rice. Piece of cake.
I'll be in there pulling for our guys, but with a walk on QB and our best RB now having flown the coop, the defense will have to be better than flawless, it will likely have to score points, and the special teams will have to either score or steal at least one possession for us to win.
