For the last few years the Chattanooga Times Free Press has been on the mark for their breaking news on CBS's televised games, mostly because CBS executive vice president Mike Aresco has been willing to tell them some of the details. Granted this is preliminary, but it does come from the horse’s mouth...

I’m thrilled to see Florida at LSU slated for prime time. This will be the first time that CBS has been willing compete against college football on ABC, for the past 3 years they have only shown prime time games on nights that ABC had NASCAR on.

Hopefully, we'll have an opposite record on CBS this year. Didn't we go 0-fer on that network in '08?

If that primetime Florida game can live up to the '07 contest, it'll be one for the ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the game those two teams played 2 years ago in prime time, CBS knows this is guaranteed ratings.
