    They always do.

Time to start a new era and quit pining away about what was. It's a different game now. I'm excited.

From everything I've read about CPM, I think he's just the right guy to usher in this new era. Plus he gets the benefit of NOT being the immediate successor to Skip, which will releive some of the pressure on him. His teams at ND were always well disciplined, with solid fundamentals, some thing that has been lacking lately. That alone would have made last years team a lot better than they were.

I think we will be better than some think.

I still can't believe we didn't even make the Regionals last year. WOW

I posted earlier this off season that I thought these guys could make a much deeper run than the experts think. Some people kinda laughed it off as me having my purple and gold glasses on, but think back to last year.
The headlines were always similar to this "Errors cost Tigers game", "Despite mistakes, Tigers still win", "Tigers lose mistake filled game", "Mishaps prove to costly for Tigers to overcome"

All season long, I got phucking sick of reading it. PM has a resume' full of teams that finished pretty high in fielding percentage, team ERA, and team BA. By improving, even if only slightly, in each of these areas, this team will be a pretty good ball club.

Give mainieri time, it looks like he has what it takes to build this team into a winner.
